As a GIS/ Environmental Specialist I currently  work with Meadows CMPG, Inc.  on Camp Lejeune Marine Corps Installation, North Carolina.

While working with Meadows CMPG, I have gained valuable experience working to support the military mission of protecting natural and cultural resources on land controlled by the Department of Defense (DoD). This has involved verifying, maintaining, and monitoring responsible environmental management plans and geospatial data to meet Federal and State regulations on DoD lands. I have accomplished this task by utilizing Environmental Systems Research Institute (Esri) software products and Geographical Information Systems (GIS) to analyze spatial data sets along with preparing and providing requested data and documents using ArcGIS. This has included designing, developing, and maintaining spatial databases as well as designing cartographic products for presentations and reports. In conjunction with my experience utilizing ESRI ArcGIS software I have experience preparing written reports based on spatial and tabular data collected while in the field.

Along with using ArcGIS databases and applications to support development and implementation of projects, I have extensive experience working with Trimble Global Positioning System (GPS) technology. This includes utilizing GPS to locate existing geographic data as well as collecting field data to be converted, edited, and analyzed for use in development and implementation of projects. Much of the work has been performed in rough and remote terrain requiring a thorough understanding of equipment and goals to ensure that data collection is accurate.

Prior to working with Meadows CMPG, I was contracted through Marine Ventures, Inc. for Continental Shelf Associates, Inc (CSA) organizing and implementing sampling and survey protocols in the Bayous of Louisiana and the Gulf of Mexico. My objectives included organizing and coordinating charter cruises with vessel captains in order to perform environmental surveys within compliance of Federal, State, and environmental laws. My general duties while offshore in the Gulf of Mexico included coordination with contractors and vessel staff to insure safe and productive sampling and survey operations. The conditions in which research activities occurred often included working under strenuous and extreme outdoor conditions and rough seas. Throughout these experiences the ability to operate effectively in adverse conditions has enhanced my effectiveness as a well-rounded employee.
